Hey there, so now we are in the month of March, the year is flying by already. So first let me say that John Mayer at the garden was absolutely unbelievable. His guitar playing is like nothing I have ever seen before. And they did a version of the Bill Withers classic "Ain't No Sunshine" (which happens to be one of my favorite all time songs) and it was spectacular. Next up for me is another Stephen Kellogg show as the are on the "Road to 1000" show. That is sure to be a great night. okay anyway on with the recommendations for this month.
A song recommended to me by my friend Mike Chiricosta is "If I Could Do It Again" by Corey Smith. It has a great sound to it, great melody and the story line of the song is great. It has a sort of alt-country sound which is really cool and unique and Corey uses it well.
Another song that I've been loving lately is a song by a group called Lady Danville out of UCLA the song is called "Cast Away." I was flipping through the channels on my TV at school and I went across "The Real World" and heard this song on it and I immediately loved it, it has a great story line and harmonizing, definitely one to check out.
You should definitely Check out I-L Twice on myspace or facebook. He just released "Planet of the Apes: The Mixtape vol. 2" and it is a great album, great rhymes and beats. You can download the album for free off of his facebook page or by using this link http://www.mediafire.com/?ynltm0elnzi
Another really cool band I just discovered is called Griffin House, they have a great easy listening style. A song to check out by them is "The guy that says goodbye to you"
Another great tune recommended to me by my friend Chris Guenard is a song called "Better with you" by Five times August. Definitely Check that one out.
Check out the band Our Satori out of Santa Cruz, CA. Really cool vibes and definitely worth your listen.
Thats it for now, Hope you enjoy those picks, leave me a comment let me know what you think.
