Its been a while, here goes May's post

After a long layoff (skipping the entire month of April I am back with the what to listen to section of this blog.

Here's what I got for you: These are a bit different from my usual listening habits

Check out the new EP from "Boston's Boy" Sam Adams, this kid is tearing up the Boston hip-hop scene and he has some great rhymes
Song to check out: "Coast to Coast"

Lately I am really digging a song called "Romeo and Juliet" originally done by Dire Straits but covered by the likes of The Killers and Matt Nathanson. Check out the Killers version on Youtube.

Also a new band I've started listening to is the Gaslight Anthem, if you like Bruce Springsteen you'll like this band they have the classic rock type sound
Song to check out: "Here's looking at you, kid"

Mark Erelli, who I have mentioned before on here, just released a new CD, Little Vigils, that is really good. He has great folk songs with awesome lyrics
Song to check out: "Same for Someone"

Also look at Josh Kelley, he is a great acoustic artist
Song to check out: "Small town boy"

Last but not least, there is a song that I heard on the GAC Nashville flood relief telethon called "Gold heart locket" it was performed by Dierks Bentley. You can find the original song on itunes or on youtube. Havent found the Dierks version yet.

Thats all for now, if any of you have suggestions for me feel free to drop a comment.
